A blip on the radar

I was hoping not to be so far behind on LJ these days. Most importantly, being at a new job where I could check LJ at my desk on my lunch. (I have probably at least 2 months of work to do already between adding the fall line of clothing to the web site and fixing the little things on the site like missing images.) However, there's an annoying filter-y thing that would probably block my flist because of swearing. Oh noes. (A co-worker is trying to get this removed for we web people as it would block things like tech forums. Bureaucracy.)
Anyway, the new job is going well so far. Everyone is very nice. It's interesting to go from an almost all male environment to an almost all female environment. I do miss some of my old co-workers who I had lunch with on Friday. However, it was also fun to squee about shoes and discuss the frustrations of finding properly fitting slacks and capris with the new co-workers.
It's been warming up here, which is great. I'm not wearing socks, which is even better. My car's a little cranky because of the season change and isn't idling properly yet. But this is a thing it does every season change.
I still have a twin mattress and a dresser if anyone would like it. Make me an offer and you haul. Also I have a free car that needs a new transmission.
And I'm still on my spring cleaning kick.
Dog sat again and
spartacusjones and I watched the first four episodes of BSG S2 last night on dog owners' big TV. Saul and Ellen are still just as awesome. It also made me consider just how "lucky" Roslin has been. Hmmm...
We sent
amaresu back to Minnesota on Wednesday. We had a wacky time that included some bowling and speed mini golf, which no one but amaresu and myself appreciated. *g* We also attempted to drink beers of the world, which most beers are very gross compared to just gross.
I'm going to the movies with Colin tonight since I haven't seen him in forever. But now it's time to read comics or see if Tori and Dean Inn Love is on, which is possibly my new favorite reality show. (It's not quite time for hockey.)

on 2007-04-09 08:28 pm (UTC)Yes. Especially working for an office where upper management is big on planning and treating employees with respect.
