fannish5: What are your five favorite canonical romances?

1. Ellen/Saul (BSG): Duh. They loved each other, plus they were both funny and tragic.

2. Almásy/Katharine (The English Patient): This was probably the first couple (and first book I'd read) where she was definitely the dom in the relationship and something about it clicked. They also have many similarities to #1.

3. Ivanova/Talia (B5): Another tragic couple. And another first for me, in that this was the first lesbian relationship I'd seen on tv and was another click moment.

4. Picard/Crusher (TNG): Every time I watch those TNG episodes where they're UST-ing or kind of seeing each other, I'm just so happy. Even when it's kind of fucked up.

5. Ovechkin/Me: What?

Okay, real #5: Wesley/Lilah (AtS): "Oh, forget about that evil witch. Let's talk about me. I'm good and pure and science turns me on, and-and one day if I pray hard enough and eat all my vegetables, I just might just have hips." Also, the dirty, dirty sex.

Hee hee. I was really a Geordi/Data or Geordi/Mary Sue shipper back in the TNG glee days, but I still do love Picard/Crusher as a canon couple very much.
