I've been working through the Remix fics. You can see my latest recs, but I will be putting together one of my regular recs lists for lj once all the author names are released.
neverneverfic and I have been writing McKay/Sheppard tag fic. The feedback thread. We're both busy women so it's slow, but gives those 'omg, I need a break from life' moments.
I've almost re-watched all of SGA S1 these past few days. I have some thoughts on why I enjoy it (not that I don't think it's deeply flawed) and the appeal of Sheppard (despite deserving to be eaten by a bear). I also had the revelation of being able to watch extras without believing that all producers and actors should be shot. (No offense to the ones I love on my flist.) I like when actors realize that they're on a dorky sci-fi show and it helps to be away from Whedonverse egos.
Anyone know where
trkkr47 went? Three flist journal deletions in a week(ish) worries me greatly.

on 2006-03-31 02:31 pm (UTC)There is simply not enough dorky sci-fi on TV any more. Supernatural was good to begin with and now kinda blows, Star Trek...well...I think it's time the franchie be put out to pasture and I haven't been able to watch BSG or any of the lesser known ones yet. (Lack of funds and time mainly)
And hopefully Trekker will be back soon. *nods*

on 2006-04-01 03:52 am (UTC)No, there's really not. Supernatural sucks and not in the good way. Plus, 2 white straight male characters don't make any character attachment for me. BSG is great, but it's serious and well done, not dorky at all. Too intense at points and I often feel that I need the cream puffs instead of the souffle made from imported dark chocolate.
*hugs*
