1. Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - Tiny blonde girl who kicks ass and who's also kind of a weirdo because she has to be who she is. I wish I could kick physical ass like Buffy, but alas I'm a little more mental than her. However, I don't think that any other character can reduce me to tears that way that she does. When Jonathan gives the speech in "The Prom," I'm full of tears.
2. Evan Lorne (Stargate Atlantis) - It's really more how I see his character than canon because there really hasn't been much. I am Evan at work as he's professional, efficient, and competent. He's the one who's so doing Sheppard's paperwork and reminding him that oh, yeah, we have to do 'x.' He also organizes team bonding and is the one who drinks with you and finds out that your wife has left you and feels bad that he didn't know earlier.
3. Jen Walters (She Hulk) - While she is She Hulk, she's also a tiny, mousey woman. She's super smart, but gets pushed around a little bit. She also spends a lot of time cleaning up her own messes when she's Hulk and doesn't have as much self-confidence as she could. She'd prefer to be She Hulk all the time.
4. Katharine Clifton (The English Patient) - "The various colours of the bruise-bright russet leading to brown. The plate she walked across the room with, flinging its contents aside, and broke across his head, the blood rising up into the straw hair. The fork that entered the back of his shoulder, leaving its bite marks the doctor suspected were caused by a fox." She's passionate, definitely a domme, brilliant, a little violent, and risks everything for what she loves.
5. Michael Bluth (Arrested Development) - Michael has had some horrid things happen to him and has a wacky family. (Though unlike me, his family is wealthy.) He tries to do the best thing for everyone and to take care of everyone, but it backfires horribly on him and then he goes on streaks of being all about him. Those also backfire on him.
(tie) 5. Ellen Tigh (Battlestar Galactica) - Ellen tries. She's also a general optimist. She also makes the best of her situation. Sure, she's a little slutty and a little wild when drunk. But in the end, she throws everything behind the man she loves. I imagine her growing up to be a little like my own and in a lot of ways, she's like a lower class Katharine and possibly more tragic.
