Misadventures of Me

In a third or fourth attempt to retrieve the older dog at the place I'm puppy sitting, I fell down the stairs in the wee hours of the morning. My foot missed the second step down the landing, and I fell on my ankle. It was only after I was on the floor doing a mixture of cursing/crying for about five minutes that the dog bothered to get up from where it was resting and refusing to move from to see what was going on. Then she went over to eat the food I'd tried to bribe it with earlier. (She was sleeping in a room where she can be if I'm there, just not by herself.)

Have I mentioned that I love dogs who come when they're called, like my mom's dog. Seriously, Lulu is the best dog ever with the stupidest name. She comes when she's called, does all those other doggy commands, and doesn't try to eat your sushi/chocolate/Cheetos/veggie burger. She can also herd your chickens and makes friends with cats.

I iced my ankle all night while I was sleeping, and it was feeling better until I'd taken both dogs out several times this morning/early afternoon. Thankfully, it's Saturday and I have a lornelover, who came over and played with the tiny puppy. Now I'm elevating/icing and have taken pain pills.

The Femslash Porn Battle is also making it better.
