Saw a kink fic marked for 21 or older.

Yeah...

If I was under 21, I couldn't read this fic, but I could go to my local bdsm/sex club and see it and/or participate in RL if I was over 18.

Or maybe the fic comes with a pint of beer if I'm an American or maybe I'll need one to get through it.

I sneer at those kind of warnings. They're usually attached to very tame fic written by newbies and the 'over 21' bit is their way of drumming up interest.
