Reading some fic and I really wish that people would
rate their stuff. I notice unrated fics more and more
from people who would probably be considered BNFs and
there's no correlation to fandoms. It would greatly
help in the fic spring cleaning because you never know
who's going to be looking over your shoulder.

Question: Is squidge.org dead? Or just down?

[livejournal.com profile] lornelover, did you see that the Senators
beat the 'Canes?

Despite coming into work almost at noon yesterday due
to a doctor's appointment, I still worked a 10 hour
day. I can't wait to see what today brings. *yawns*

Made it home by 8 p.m. Then had the big choice of watch porn, read flist, or work (freelance stuff) more. Clearly, I need like 30 hours in a day. I did manage to pick up my bedroom a little bit and I called my Grandpa.

Because my life is insane, I'm stepping down (once they find a replacement) from doing the Friday update at [livejournal.com profile] house_notice, the House newsletter. If you're interested in doing it, e-mail [livejournal.com profile] saturn92103 at saturn92103@hotmail.com and/or [livejournal.com profile] gabesaunt at gabesaunt@livejournal.com. Apparently, I've been doing it for a year and a half. Wow, that's longer than I thought.

Capitals played against Tampa and lost tonight. Though Ovechkin's having a better time. Hopefully this means that his slump is over.

[livejournal.com profile] spartacusjones and I made Mucho Margarita Cupcakes on Tuesday and they were very tasty. And I'm now a proud owner of a juicer. I brought the cupcakes to work and the guys really liked them.

I had an awesome gynecologist appointment on Wednesday. I know, awesome? That's not usually a word associated with those things. 5 points of awesome:

1. The RN was very quick and competent and didn't make me bleed.

2. The gowns were made of cloth, not paper. Much more comfortable and warmer. No scratchiness or weird paper drafts.

3. While the same old uncomfortable speculum, it was warmed beforehand. No coldness.

4. There was a small dressing room where you changed and could store all your clothing and giant purse.

5. And the best part, a chair instead of a table. The chair reclined back and had arm rests. (The RN commented that it worked so much better for very pregnant women.) And then when it was time to do the pelvic part, instead of stirrups and scooting your ass to the very end of the table, you put your calves on rounded inward type calf rests and the bottom dropped out so you relaxed instead of tried not to fall off.

As [livejournal.com profile] lornelover said, It's only taken them 150 years or so to improve women's health care.
